NZ you are welcome, and you will love it being super scrappy!

NZ I know what you're saying. Thats why I like doing scrappy, it really gives you a happy feeling. Those poor sad, neglected scraps brought together to be used and loved again.

I'm going to save the clues as well. We don't have too many fabric shops for quilting fabrics but we do have one big retail show once a year and it's on the beginning of November this year and I usually stock up on neutrals/lights/plains when I'm at it.

I've got my triangles sorted and pulled out those that are large enough to use. Next will be to sort them by light/med/dark.

I sorted my colors - first sort was light, med and dark. Set aside the light and dark. then I re-sorted the medium into light and dark. Put the lights with the light pile and put the darks back in the box of scraps. This way I have a more dramatic difference between Mediums and darks. I also pulled out any super light colors and put them back in the scrap box. Most of these scraps are from another HST quilt that was all neutral/color. I didn't want any fabric repeats in it so have all the triangle cutoffs left over. Glad to be using them up!

I'll use the neutrals as my "lights" and the pile of light/medium colors to sew with them. The darks will be set aside for later. If they end up not being large enough to use, I've got plenty of larger scraps to use.

Here's my HST all done. Some might have ended up a bit too dark, but I'll see if I need to redo any after the reveal.

    And then, just for fun!

Oops, just saw in the photos these hst look a lot darker than they truly are!

NZ, I love the variety in your blocks. It will be interesting to see how they all go together in the end. Here are my blocks - yet untrimmed. I have tried to stay with the desired red/turquoise color choice with just a bit of gold/greens added.
