For laying out quilts to baste, I use a table with the large butterfly office clips to clip the fabric on the edges. Works great for me as I can't get up down easily due to bad knee. If your husband is really handy (as mine) he can take a 4 X 8 sheet of masonite and put it at the height you desire. I made mine counter-top height and use a stool when I get tired to standing.

What a nice room. You have lots of space for quilts, hang them on those angle walls it'll look good.

How about some magnets to hang your quilts? The possibilities are endless with that. =)

It's a beautiful room... I love the paint color. I bought a 4'x8' sheet of heavy pressboard. I put it on top of two chests of drawers that are elbow height. No more bending for me. Sharon Schambers has a video here, table top basting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhwNylePFAA and here's a link for a design wall http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/techni...gn-wall_1.html

I want to live there. Put in a small fridge, and I'm telling you it would be hard to leave such a great room!!
