They look good Judy. Can anyone please tell m what size the stars should be after the first round of today's bits. I've got one sat here but the seam allowance looks a bit big. Don't want to have to use my new unpicker yet! Thanks.

I'm so so sorry for screwing this easy step up. I figured it was too easy
so I thought we had to put last weeks on first. and screwed it up.
After reading the directions about 3 more times, I figured it out. See
what happens when it's too easy???
These mystery quilts are great for beginners or people who are "afraind"
of doing certain designs. It takes us step by step thru the hard parts.
How many of us would have said, OMG so many points and I'm not doing that
and look how far we've come.
Again. a BIG thank you to JUDY for this fun ride!!!

To tell the truth, I don't remember and the quilt is at the long arm-er, but you will have a bit of hang-over, you need 1/4'' from the end point of the star block to put the second piece on without losing your points.

When I added the first set of triangles I squared up at 11 1/2 " then added the next round. Hope that helps

I squared up to 12", but the outer square ended up 17", but I had plenty of hang over on the points, so could trim it down.
I'm finished with putting the first set of squares on, but had to do a couple with the second set so I could see how they turned out. I'm a happy camper. Now to decide whether to do the scrappy one with a constant E or not. Since those pieces are so large, I think perhaps a constant would work better. I'll audition in a little while and ask what you-all think.

Really like your blocks.
I was thinking that with the scrappy ones, you could make that outer triangle a half square triangle to break up that large area. And make them all different fabric combos.

Here are my two versions--sorry for the lousy pictures. For some reason, this clue took me longer than any of the others have! The first (red and black) is the regular version; the second is the scrappy (the greens are showing up yellow).

Ripped, Belfry and Angelia love how your blocks are turning out. Haven't started new clue yet as been busy all day so hopefully will get to it tomorrow. Have no idea how the finished quilt will look you sure are keeping us guessing Judy.
