I had a similar situation with my daughter. She joined the Navy and really turned herself around. I think every guy and gal who graduates from high school (and those who quit school) should be required to go to boot camp. It makes a big difference in their lives and gives them something to think about besides themselves.
I'm very proud of your son too, and all those who serve to keep us safe. GOd bless him and keep him safe.

Thank the Lord he made the right choice and thank the Lord for the military. He hadn't signed up he would have been found dead in a ditch by now. I'm proud that he understood his choices and had the strength to make the right choice for his family and himself.I went to his graduation and I couldn't believe my eyes when he came out in his dress uniform. He's a big guy at 6'4 and he stood even taller. When that uniform goes on it's as if he is wearing his heart and soul for the world to see. Everytime someone approached him to thank him he would blush like a little girl, it's so funny to see this big rough tough solider blush! Last time I saw him he thanked me and told me he found his place in the world and that he has never been so happy which maked me even happier!
Tough Love is hard to pull off but as you have proved it is very worth it!! Very happy for you both. Please thank your son for his service.

Thank You for sharing this story and pic! I am sure it was hard for him to remove himself from the former way of life but oh so happy that he did! A person has to be happy and find themselves sometimes. Thank him for serving this Country and let him know I am proud of him & his choices. I am also very happy for you as a Mom. (((((Huge hugs)))))

What a wonderful story. You have every right to be proud of your son. He is lucky to have such a strong mother to help him make the right decision in his life.
