Yikes, I was so busy quilting that I forgot to check in on Saturday. Guess I will be making HST at my quilting retreat this week-end! Thinking all blues but scraps with what ever I find in my bin of neutrals. Off I go to gather my pile of choices of ..... medium blues.

it's a good thing for me that we have two weeks for this clue- I'll be lucky if I can get them done by them. Too much other stuff trying to get wrapped up before it starts getting too cold to be working outside. I only have carrots left to process and am so glad to have the garden season ending so I can spend more time sewing!

annt and LindaC, glad you are along for the ride!

NAquilter nope, not too dark, they look wonderful! Good job.

Carol, your HSTs are gorgeous! Good job.

Macy, don't stress, you know you can take all the time you need, no quilt police telling you to hurry-hurry.

Judy, I finally found the perfect dark to go with my fabrics (it’s the fourth fabric we need later I’m now wondering about but I’ll try & be calm & wait on you & listen to your guidance). Below is a picture of all 17 different scrap fabrics I made my HST’s out of with my “sorta” light teal Grunge & the new dark purple I’m going to be using. The next picture shows each fabric as a HST with the 2 light & dark fabrics above. Isn’t it crazy how different fabric can look in different lighting?! I had to take my cutting mat off my table to get the pictures because it was making the teal go yellowish.

I have all 96 HST’s done. I hope there’s enough contrast? Are there any you think are too light? I know there are a couple quite dark ones but I hoped the contrast between them not being purple would be enough.

I really like what everyone is coming up with - hope I like my own as much lol!

I've got the triangles sewn but not pressed or trimmed yet, but that is a good start. I'm also working on a retirement quilt at the same time. At least that one is all reds so I won't get them mixed up.
