Hi Pam,
Well what did you decide? I didn't read all the pages of the thread. I am thinking the one on the right as well. It is a clear seperation of the colors.

I think they are both wonderful.

In the end, I think your decision should be based on what type of quilting you want to do.

The quilt on the left lends it self well to "show off/whole cloth" type quilting in the middle section. Yet the one on the right, screams for an over-all simpler style of quilting.

In the end, I am sure it will be beautiful.

I prefer #2. Sets off the centers and the outer border better.

I did the one on the right. I plan on quilting it in black thread with a panto that I have that is a sun and moon design. The backing is the same as the 3rd from the end, squigly black.

This is one braid, the other three are done out to the 3rd red. This is such an easy pattern it could be done in a weekend. I didn't spend a lot of time on it over this past weekend, an hour here and there.
