i quilt all of mine , because i dont have the money to send out to have it done , i dont know of anyone in my area that has a long arm, and i just think that the quilt is that more special to me having done all the work on my own, it make not look as perfect as if someone would do on a long arm , but it is the challange to me to finish the quilt

I have done all my own but for one a 120x120 quilt Cal King. Size is prohibitive and hard on me physically. I also want to make the quilt from beginning to end and do not really have the money to have the quilts quilted by some one else. Right now I am ready to put another Cal King to gether and I will have to do it myself because of the cost factor. Dreaming of a long arm quilting machine.

I will quilt any quilt up to a double size by myself, any larger than that is just too hard to handle. I can't afford to pay quilters to quilt for me on a regular basis, so only have had 3 quilts done by a quilter ever, the rest I have done on my own.

To calculate square inches, multiply the length in inches by the width in inches of your quilt top. That gives square inches.
• If they charge by the square foot, divide that number by 144.
OR
• If they charge by the square yard, divide that number by 1296.
While I have a range of prices based on density/difficulty of the pattern, the majority of my overall designs are $0.015 per square inch (one and a half pennies PSI). So a quilt that was 60" x 80" = 4800 square inches x 0.015 = $72.
