A vintage industrial Singer walking foot for $150 is too good to pass.

ARGHHHHH!!! The ONLY thing saving this rare one side 4 drawer treadle is the asking price assigned by this "clever individual"....
I don't read this thread often so I'm not sure why I'm in it today.

BUT, this is an American BHO treadle like mine! The irons exactly match mine. The cutout on the bed and the brasses for the coffin top also match. Mine dates to 1872 . I am missing the drawer(s) that was on the left side of my machine but the remnants of that drawer are inside the irons rather than on the outside like this one for sale. Also, I don't have a drop leaf.

    That was fun to see!!!

Another difference is mine cost SEVERAL hundred (over $400) less AND came with the machine, shuttle, bobbin, etc..

The first one probably had a fighting chance until it was stored outside so it could become one with the earth again.
The second one is the same style I'm currently restoring. Much older than 60 yrs most likely. The one I'm restoring is from 1908. That one is overpriced for the condition. Looks like only 2 of the 6 drawers have the front appliques, the irons were painted a really sickly shade of green and it's missing the flywheel and guard at the very least.
#3 It's too bad none of these people really have much in the way of creativity.
#4 Amazing what people will say to make a sale.

It's Goodwill. What did you expect?
I just hope the person bidding knows it's actually a buttonholer with extra cams.

I sent a friendly note to them,... I fully expect an "eff off" reply if any at all.

The price seems one, maybe two zeros too high and it looks much newer than a 1904 model 15.

Completely off subject: There's an auction in town that I stopped into and had a look around. They had a beat up old model 66 in a case there. I asked the girl working there what old sewing machines generally sold for. She replied "nothing". I figured that's pretty close to the truth. I put the $5.00 minimum bid on it. I should know in about a week if I get it. Honestly I'm more interested in it's case. I already have a better 66 that runs perfectly.

There are a few machines that bring decent money but most really aren't worth a whole lot. I really have a hard time understanding where people come up with their prices.

If it is all there it will be worth the $5 for parts to keep some other machine else alive.
