I think your quilt turned out very nice. The more I see different fabrics, the more I like the contempory ones - I like the fabrics!

If your friend who you made it for doesn't like it, give it to charity. This past year, I was chairman of Community Quilts in our Guild. There are many agencies who love to receive quilts. Also, the Police and Fire Dept. say that they use quilts for people who come into their stations--destitute. The love and warmth of a handmade quilt are wonderful for them.
Crisis Centers for women--there is lots of need out there.

I think you rose to the challenge and made the very best quilt possible with the fabrics you had to use. Nice job - but I'm happy I don't have to live with it! Who knows - in 10 years it might be all the rage!

What you did makes it work. It might not be my favorite color scheme BUT given what you had to work with, it looks GREAT!

You made the best of a VERY awkward situation!! It doesn't look that bad. More of a modern look. Maybe your friend was color blind and was just going for the patterns? I do like the pattern, I bet coordinating fabrics would be awesome!
