    Ladies, Mike still has a ways to go, but his Papa says this morning is the first time in the last three weeks that he has had a glimpse of the "old Mike." He is having lots of therapy (mostly physical) as his right arm and hand are very weak and pretty much useless. They continue to tweak his meds. He wants desperately to come home, but it will be a while yet. He is a fighter and will work hard towards his goal. Please continue to pray him home.

    Here he is before and after. Look at the twinkle in those eyes! (The nurse was teasing him and put the sticker on his forehead!)

    Thank you to all who have walked through this trial by fire with us. Your thoughts, hopes, wishes and prayers have been invaluable to us.

    I appreciate you all.

    Jaba, sending healing thoughts and prayers for your granddaughter. I hope she recovers soon.

    Deb, I will continue to pray for Mike's speedy recovery. Thanks for the pictures. There really is quite a difference in the before and present pictures. Hugs to you and your whole family. {{{HUGS}}}

    jaba -- sending prayers for your granddaughter's health.

    Deb -- My heart skipped a beat when I saw the staples in Mike's chest. But the smile on his face tells a different story. Will continue praying for his full recovery.

    Jaba, oh my gosh meningitis?! I pray that she will be alright and that the meds the Dr's have her on will get her through all of this.

    Deb what a difference a couple of days make, so glad he is doing much better. Hope he will be on his way home real soon!

    She has bacterial meningitis, they are giving her the antibiotics but don't know if any damage was done to her brain from the seizures yet. Need her to come out of the coma first. I appreciate those healing prayers, thank you ladies. Hopefully the morning will bring some good news.
    Deb, so glad Mike is doing better. That big beautiful smile says a lot....I'm praying for the same outcome.
