    I'm being smothered in fabric...

    Too much confusion

Oh heck, I'll go get another 2 yards. I like my background fabric enough to use it again. Don't mind me.
I don't believe so Gwyn, as long as it's similar value you should be fine. You can 'sprinkle' them around and it will give it some extra movement and sparkle. I apologize for the error. I love technology, but sometimes it's better to do it the 'old' way! ROFLOL. HUGS

No worries. I have this awesome son-in-law who's mother is a professional quilter. He went with me to buy the fabric. I gave him a snippet and he is already there...(our Walmart has a fabulous fabric department). I called the lady who works the department and she has already cut the extra and he should be home in about 10 minutes with the fabric. All is square with the world.

Hey Carsey! How are you doing? I left an answer. I like the birds, but make sure if they aren't 12 1/2", you will have to put a border around to compensate the difference. :) HUGS

Missy: With the border around the 4 bird squares, it is a little over 12 1/2. I don't think it would look right if I had to cut some of the border off. Let me look through my stash some more...... I know I have other focal fabric that I can use. As soon as I get back from church tomorrow, I will find something and post it so you can help me out. Thanks for your help!!!! I look forward to this!!!!

Carsey: I have some bird panels that are 12.5 x 12.5 and you are welcome to them. I'm using them for my focus fabric, but I have lots of extras. I'll get a picture and post it right now.

Here are the fabrics I have chosen to use. The bird blocks are my focus fabric. The all over birds pattern is my backing, The light blue floral is my main color, the darker blue next to it is my second fabric.
The lighter green is my inner border and the rest of the fabrics are the other supporting fabrics. So, what do you think? Will this work okay?

The last picture is for the quilter who was looking for barn red. I went ahead and purchased the 3.5 yards they had just in case they sold out. If you don't want it, that is fine. I can make a border print dress for a granddaughter or special friend - p erhaps even me. Just let me know.
