Yep. There's been two others lately too but I haven't seen them for a week or so. One is another treadle and one is a hand crank.

If they were truthful about it being a reproduction it wouldn't be a problem at all.

You folks do know that Walmart advertises “Lowest Prices - Always” and they’re not always the lowest price don’t you? Buyer beware - everywhere.

At least the seller is requesting that interested parties be honest. That's gotta be worth something, right?

It's always THEIR lowest price. It's all semantics. Kind of like "New and Improved!" What's the improvement? Could be the manufacturer found a way to make it cheaper. That's an improvement on their end but doesn't necessarily do the buyer any good.
Selling a reproduction as an original is always fraud though.

Serious collectors only? Really means "Rich fools only".

I just don't get people who believe that the wealthy are too stupid to do basic market research. The seller knows that collectors would never pay anywhere near $800 for a 201-2.

Or a 15-90. Or any Singer, imo, except the rarest models. They're just too common.

Do they price them this high in order to drive up offers? Surely no one in their right mind would offer more than, say, $50 for that machine. I wouldn't pay $30.

I bet you hope for a customer who will pay more though.
