    GREAT find try some baking soda to soak them in it might help with the smell.

    I went through something similar and have a suggestion. If you have a clothesline, I would recommend washing them and hanging them outside to dry. Two reasons: Hanging them avoids the knarled mess that comes out of the dryer. They are barely in need of ironing and secondly, they smell so much better after some fresh air.

    Those are Beautiful ! Wow....you are so fortunate ! Hopefully you can get the smell out...I'm sure there are some folks on this board that can tell you how to get the odor out.
