Me too. Hope the quilt police don't find us. It just seems to me it all lays flatter with the open seams. Wonder how quilt judges feel about it? Have never entered a show, just wondering.

Thank you so much for this post. I have been dreading basting a queen size quilt and when I heard that you can actually use Elmer's glue I started dancing and prancing. I used Elmer's glue to get crackled/aged look for my dinning table. It worked like a charm and saved me lots of $$ that I can now use to buy more fabric. Everybody loved my antique looking table and now they are going to love my quilts. Thank you for posting this, you really made my day.

My mother taught me to sew clothes and to press my seams open, and when I started quilting it was the hardest thing for me to remember - not to press seams open. Maybe I will try pressing them open for my next project. If the quilt police finds us so be it

What about the washable gel glue? And there is also clear washable?

Sounds like a neat way to avoid pins and by the looks of your block {thanks for including the photo}, it is very accurate as well. I can't wait to try this myself!

Thanks for sharing, I will give it a try, I have to buy washable elmers with a point applicator and try it. Great job with the photos, description and sewing.
