that is absolutly the most beautiful quilt,I will have to bring in my storage ben of ties I have saved from garage sales and a store that sells them at a really good price.
I can't wait to start mine .

Absolutely beautiful! Would you mind sharing some pointers on working with the fabric... I have collected only silk's and have washed and dried then..
Now, should I back the fabric or use spray starch before sewing. Also, what type of fabric is the white? Did you need to find a similar type of fabric?

I have tried to make a fan pattern out of the ties and they seem to be stretching or something. I too would like to know if you back them to keep their shape.

oops I see you did answer that question you used a iron on stabilizer.

So pretty and resourseful - I think of all the ties I have donated to Goodwill in the past because I didn't have the time to create. Ah, maybe now I can support Goodwill by buying a few, ha ha..... Thank you for sharing.

I'm not fond of tie quilts, but that is the best one I've seen. Good job.
