One question, can we add embellishments such as buttons?
Yes, as long as they are secure. Some of the blocks will be used for quilts, some are going to be used as a block in a calendar.

Shoot! I am so excited I have already purchased my fabric, washed it, and now am starting to get busy designing each block... yea!
FYI- this is my very first swap- I am very excited- to some of you this might be "old-hat" but for me- it is a very exciting step of finally just doing this hobby for me and just me alone... sewing and quilting was for so long a means of "living" i had to "sell to survive" - but now... I have a LOVING husband, 5 beautiful children and I am really relieved that this is simply a hobby activity, for me...it is really a treat!!

I can hardly wait to see the blocks I get and get to know each of you who are putting in your time for me and a new quilt... I look forward to learning about each of you through your blocks-and we can be a part of a quilt together... cheesy? well thats just who I am - little miss cheesy!!!

And I thought Idaho was known for potatoes, not cheese.

Here are the rough draft version of the two blocks that I will be sending for June and November. I still have some trim work to do but let me know what you think so far.
