Definitely a repro. The feed dog control on the bed is one of the giveaways. The badge is another. The decals are not vintage and it's not worth a lot of money unlike what the ad says

Talk to me Tammi. The badge? The feed dog drop? I just bought a Singer 15K110 with the same badge and a feed dog drop on the bed. But the serial number does match up to a Singer serial number and describes the appropriate machine. *My feed dog drop doesn't look like this one. This one looks like a Japanese made one.

I wonder if it could be a Japanese 15U “Special Version” if it’s actually from the 60s as the poster reports? “U” is the Singer designation for Japan. Photos that I can find show the RAF decals on the Singer 15U. Maybe the more elaborate decals make the “SV” special version? I’m just guessing here......

That makes sense to me. I was wondering about a couple things about it. I've only seen repros from the '90s that have a plastic feed drop knob on the bed, plastic tension assemblies, etc. and the particle board cabinets so couldn't make up my mind what I thought about this one.

I wonder if the serial number would offer any enlightenment? I can see it has a serial number under the bed but not a face plate tag. Or is having the serial number under the bed another sign it's a repro? OK now I'm going to have to post a thread and show my new 15 with RAF decals because it has many of the same elements. Please take a look and let me know what you think!

Isn't this one like the restoration Steve finished recently with his daughter?
