    Howdy and Welcome from Kentucky!! I too started with a log cabin quilt. I took a class at my LQS and that was what they taught us to make.

    Hello Donna and welcome from Germany :). Have to make a log cabin yet, it is one of my all time fav.. To reward myself with a pretty quilt in no time, I started VERY simple, like 5" sq and sashing. Good luck!
