Thanks so far girls. I tried adding a solid off white but it is worse. I think I should have bought another blue.....Not easy for me to just get, the blue is hard to match to another line, and no lily and will around here.
What do you think would happen if I used some of the toile for the corners. When these blocks are put together they form more patterns, diamonds, and the four corners make a square together.

Still trying here. Here is the pattern and a few more tries
BTW, DDIL is picky but she treasures my quilts, so I know it will be loved

block 4-- I think I like it, toile in the corners
