I have a book Grandma Putt's Old Time Vinegar, Garlic, Baking Soda, and 101 more Problem Solvers and it says:

To get pet hair off of upholstered furniture, spray a sponge with HAIR SPRAY (pump or aerosol), and while it's still tacky, run it across the fabric.

I would think that would work just as well on a quilt.

Lint roller or a damp hand, or a rubber glove, or vaccuum gently, packing tape wrapped around your hand sticky side out...the list is long...and I've used them all. I just invested in a furminator for our biggest cat. I was stunned at how much fur I had after a first brush. I'm hoping it will reduce shedding...he's the worst "offender".

Use the pledge sweeper, I use mine for hair/thread and bits of fabric

i get what i can off with the lint roller. Then toss it in the dryer on fluff or lo heat , toss in dryer sheet and an old tennis shoe that i keep just for the dryer....

I use a damp wrap and my damp hand to get it. Dk has taken to my ironing board of all places - how in the world could that be comfortable?! I'm repeatedly removing fur from it and that's been the quickest and easiest way.

I always keep a lint roller in my sewing room, kitchen, bed room, bathroom......get the picture?? I have 3 furry hairy kitties.

What is a Furminator and how where do I find one? I have 2 rescue cats who now think they own the house and only let me sit down when one or the other one is on my lap or nuzzled up to my shoulder, both shedding fur like mad. One is a long haired white Persian who hates to be brushed. She sheds hair so much that I first thought all of it was a few small white mice hidden under the sofa and book case!!

(My son has a white part wolf, says when she sheds, it looks like several mounds of dead white rabbits in his back yard)

I have a sticky roller that when it is full of hair or what ever, simply place under runing water then pat dry and start again. Great invention.

A damp sponge works well too.

I use a lint roller and wash and dry it. In my house I tell everyone that cat hair is a condiment.
