    Yes I used freezer paper & starch to turn under the seams. The length on my machine is a 1.4 and the width is 1.0. The stitch is just called an applique stitch.

    You're doing a super job on the applique. I really like that pattern, although I don't quite understand how it is all put together. Be sure to post more pictures as you progress with it.
