I took a class on maintenance and cleaning of a Featherweight and they taught us to use bridal tulle for the same purpose. I use it to clean all my machines. This is like very fine netting. It is just abrasive enough to get stuff out but not so much as to damage anything. You could use just a little WD 40 or Triflow on it if you wanted. You cut it in a 1 inch strip as long as you need and essentially floss with it. Ann in TN
