I started a wallhanging in 1993 and messed up the center. It's buried somewhere, but my decor has changed. Besides, I know now not to try to make a 8 point star out of polished cotton decorator fabric, so it will never be finished. Other than that, nothing over eight months old.

I started a GFG after seeing one in about '72 or '73. I did not know anything about quilting but wanted one. I used material from clothes I made for kids and myself, and my mother. As the cardboard hex wore out and I made new ones they apparently grew along with the quilt. Then I started putting it together with a bright yellow pathway to match the center of the flowers. It is very uneven and when I took it out a few months ago thinking I would finish it now that I know more about quilting, I decided it is very ugly, and put it back planning to give the unfinished top to a thrift store. So over 40 years old!

I have only one UFO and it is 2 years old and not sure I will finish it as I ran out of one of the fabrics. Might just take it apart and replace it with a different color that is close to the original fabric.

Mine is relatively new compared to some of you members.. But I have only been quilting for about 1 1/2 years.

So guess what - my oldest UFO is 1.5 years old.

I pieced it, sanwiched it, basted it - and then..... Got scared about FMQ'ing it. I'm a little braver now - I've taken afew FMQ classes and have practiced.. A little more and I will be confident enough to tackle it.

I have all the blocks done well almost I just have to cut all those threads off the back . Why I did not do it when I made them I don't know. And I have a good idea how to put them blocks together although I never did it before. So how old is your UFOs?
It's a knitting project I started way back when. It's at least 10 years old.

I finished my oldest UFO this last winter. My oldest ones are probably around 10 to 11 years old. But right now I'm on a limited fabric buying, finish things up and only start new things from stash diet. Plus I have a Janome 6600 and the boards to baste the Sharon Schamber way so I can actually finish the UFO stack.

Basting and quilting have held me back for a long time.

Mine are between 12 and 15 years old and I am working very hard at finishing them all up before I start a new project. However, the two new projects are lined up and I keep reminding myself how nice it is going to be to have a lot of those tops done and ready to send off to be quilted. Now to find a quilter, hummmmm, wonder if there is one on here--LOL
