    It looks just fine...picks up the bit of yellow in the blocks. If you add a second border the yellow will just blend with the blocks. You did good!

    The yellow does not look to bright to me. String quilts are my favorite - it is beautiful.

    Yellow is not my color. But that being said, isn't the objective of scrap quilts to use what you have on hand? So, use it and gift it. They will love it.
