    I used rice in my chicken pincushions, but I do like the feel of the sand better. Rice works though. My next chickens, I am going to put some of that fun hair on them. Gives them more personality I think. You made some cute ones!

    I love that fun hair on them but i won't be going to town and i need to get two more done.I'm going to try plastic pellets first if i don't like the way they feel I'll get more sand.

    How about using scraps of batting? Or are you wanting something "weighty?"

    If for a pin cushion, I don't understand the beans, rice, etc ... could someone explain?

    And in that same vein, popcorn would work well!

    Oh they are so cute. Just send them to me. You have my address. You even sew turn and stuff the beaks. Good job...I was not serious about sending them to me, just being sassy.
