    It wasn't though. Knock-off isn't quite the right word...It was made to be an homage to the best of both-the guy that created it (Leon Jolson) was a distributor for both Necchi and Elna, and he was looking for a lower cost, high quality machine, so he borrowed stuff he liked from each, mashed them together (like the name-Necchi Elna CO), and there you go. Neither Necchi nor Elna were happy about it, and pulled their distributor ship from him.

    I've gotten quite an education trying to find out about this one!
