    Sew them together to make a really ugly backing for a quilt?

    There's no ugly fabric, you just haven't cut it small enough yet.

    I love ugly fabrics. They go great into scrap quilts. You will never see them and they add interest to the quilt. i guess I am the ugly fabric queen though.

    ugly is in the eye of the beholder- there are fabrics one of us may hate that the next person may oohhh and ahhh over- the ugly swap is proof of this- and some really spectacular quilts have been made from ---someone elses ugly fabric-
    so if you really don't like them- take some pictures and offer a trade- someone will think they are lovely and will happily trade with you something they feel is ugly which you love.

    Maybe they will become less ugly when paired with other fabrics. Post some pictures maybe someone here will love them.

    I agree with sewmary; uglies look great in small pieces mixed in a scrap quilt.
