    WOW! Those are great! Do you have a book or patterns? Or what? You did a great job for the first time paper piecing.

    Thanks all. I've done foundation piecing which is basically the same so it's not totally new to me (though it has been many years). Yes, I got them out of a book. Carol Doak Mariner's Compass Stars. It comes with a CD called Foundation Factory and it has 24 foundation patterns. I got 100 sheets of the paper too. Just print 4 copies per block, each sheet has the pattern for a quarter block, A & B. The directions are clear and simple but it took me 4 hours to do the first one, starting from cutting the fabric.

    I'm getting quicker now... 3 hours maybe? I'm not timing it anymore! :lol:
