 That's what I though too! I saw it a couple of months ago at a quilt show. Not overly impressed with it.

Creative quilt kits offered free glasses with their yardage. Not sure if they still do.

The fabric really is VERY cool. We carry it too; the butterflies are nearly gone and Hoffman is not reprinting them. The space and sea creatures were reprinted, so we just got another bolt of each this week. Our price is $9.25 / yard.

And... we put on the 3D glasses and took a look at our other fabrics, to see if there was anything else that was secretly 3D. What we found was that anything with a cool color background (blue/turquoise/green) with warmer-colored objects (yellow-orange-red), the warm tones just seemed to levitate up and away from the background of the fabric. Red the most, orange and yellow a little less. I think the most interesting effect was the puzzle pieces fabric by Timeless Treasures. The background was black, the blue, green, and cyan pieces "stayed down", and the yellow and red ones "jumped up". Unexpected (and fun)!

I saw it at a one-stop shop hop. It was pretty cool and I think my son would love it but I didn't buy any. I might get some to use for part of his t-shirt quilt.

I had to go get my 3-D glasses (from a recent trip to Disney World with my granddaughters)to see what all the hype was about. The fabric is different, but I'd never pay that kind of money for it.

The 3D fabric is neat but just for the heck of it while looking at it I turned to look as some of the finished quilts on the wall and some of them had a 3D effect too. It just looks like a sales gimmic.

Of course it's a sales gimmick. They want to sell fabric and 3D is a huge new trend. They're brilliant to take advantage of the popularity.

This is all so intriguing! I will have to run down to my LQS to check it out right away!! Wonder if Fabric Depot will have any as part of their regular sales.
