    ouchy I've done it before, it hurts like the dickens, but not as bad as ya would think. Hope you can conti. to use it and keep getting things done. Hoping for a accident free week. :-)

    I would like to suggest that you buy some cheap double pointed bamboo knitting needles to use as a stiletto and save your fingers.

    BTW, the picture is really gross. We would have believed you without the picture. A **gross picture** warning in the title would be nice.

    I have done that. Twice with a sewing machine and once with a hand needle. I slapped at a fly on the table and the needle was in the way. I didn't see the needle but I felt it. It went half way into my finger with the thread in the eye. Looked funny to see the thread and needle there like in a pin cushion.
