Congrats on your new home! I agree it was bad when we lived in the duplex you could hear every sound. It was weird though when we moved in here it took me a while to get used to being in here I kept thinking like I was invading someone elses space lol. Post some pics when you get a chance we'd love to see it.

Really happy for you. Being a homeowner beats renting any day but remember when something breaks you can't call someone else! I hated renting for all the reasons you listed. Congrats on the biggest purchase of your life.
