    Thanks for the great link and thanks also for the tip about using monofilament fishing line to put them all together! I have a one gallon jar of old wooden spools... Guess what I'll be making soon!!!

    I like it! I was very frusatrated when I had to clean out old threads. I was sure someone local would want them for crafts, but got no takers.

    Cute idea espically with the bow. I find a lot of wooden spools at house/garage sales for pennies.

    I have plenty of old spools . I think this is a cute idea for the ones that aren't fitting into my jars.

    Every year my children, children -in-laws, & grandchildren (26 in all!) get a Christmas ornament, this year they all received an "empty thread spool"...I used the idea found at www.makeminebeautiful.blogspot.com ..look under DIY projects..you will find BEAUTIFUL thread spool ornament!!!

    I love this idea. I have collected wooden spools for years (some with thread, some without). Now I have something to do with all of them.
