Does basting spray wash out or not? How big of a quilt is it good for or is it OK for all size quilts?

yes, basting spray is temporary and does wash out. all sizes of quilts. but i would wash it. even if a wall hanging. just a soaking would do, agitation isn't really necessary if you don't want to do that. sulky, 505, etc. there are many sprays out there.

I use basting spray now and am glad I tried it...I pin the heck out of it too. My son has a ping pong table so I take the net off and throw it up there and start pinning, it sure is a back saver!!!

I'm glad you mentioned the ping pong table...I have been sitting here thinking that would be the perfect size for sandwiching my quilt, as I'm tired of using the floor. I used to pin my quilt back into the carpet with straight pins to keep them straight and tight, but no more...I will be taping them to the ping pong table from now on!!
