I like the guide on the 1/4" foot for piecing, but I use the one without the guide for binding.

I have the clear plastic FMQ foot. I cut the front of the plastic out with scissors to make it open. I can see so much better now. Now I have the best of both!

The eBay seller said they are brother brand somi ordered them... If not Paypal will make them accept a return for item not as described anyways. I ended up getting both piecing feet and the guide, as well as a gathering foot and narrow hem foot for clothes. So it should be fun! I have the walking foot already. I should be all set! Thanks for all the input!

I am going to go against the grain and say the 1/4 inch without. I have both and prefer without. I find the guide gets in the way and is way more inaccurate for me than without. I absolutely hate the guide. As for the FMQ feet I have 4 including the one you have and my favorite is the open toe metal by far

I got mine from an amazon store called "Sew Affordable." I had just purchased the brother 1/4 in. from the lqs for $24.95. That same day I found it at the site for .91!!! Even with expedited shipping, it was still less.
Fortunately, I was able to returen the other to the lqs.
