Sewing machine Service and Support may be the tie breaker
#12
I owned the original "Red case 830" which I bought as a new bride in the early 1970s, loved loved loved that machine, it was all metal (as almost all were back then) and no matter what I did to that machine it always kept plugging away. I have kicked myself many times after I gave it to my niece and saw it was worth $1400 on ebay.....

Hi there,
I'm the one who started this thread discussion. Just thought I would share that I decided on the Pfaff Sensation even though they don't have the incredible webinars and online support. I'm lucky to live near Houston, which has a great Pfaff dealer and several great Bernina locations. For two years, I test drove, went to trunk shows, and numerous hands on demonstrations. I liked sewing with the Pfaff and felt very comfortable with it so that's what I purchased a few months ago.
I have been very happy with it so far. I really agonized over the two machines and I am so relieved that I'm happy with my choice. I am so grateful for the advice given here. Thank you!
