    Beautiful quilt! I too am guilty of using polyester thread for my quilting, Coats and Clark Dual Duty XP to be exact. I always thought it was cotton covered poly but I looked at a spool the other day and it is 100% poly. I don't feel guilty at all! My mother always sewed with Coats and Clark and so did my Great Aunt who was my quilting inspiration. I'm not worried about my quilts not holding up!!

    I agree I also will and do use Poly, also I use serger thread at times.

    Uh oh, if it's for a child, the quilt will be washed a lot. Rayon is pretty weak. The quilt should last a few years but the rayon will shred eventually. Since the rayon was used only on the binding, it will be easy to fix when the time comes!

    I willl post your bail. You did a lovely job and I see nothing wrong in using the thread you did. I have had rayon hold up to numerous washings. Good luck with yours.
