When you go to search for the manual, all you need to put in the box is 15. Don't put the whole 15-91 in. Then scroll down to your manual.

That is the kind of machine I grew up sewing on, though ours was in a blonde cabinet, probably closer to 1950's. I loved the knee bar and have wished that I could have that on my modern machine. I actually have my machine in storage, need to have DH get it out and see what is left of the fabric cording and belts!

What a beauty! I love my 15, and it has a kneebar too. I find it easier to use than a foot pedal since I'm kinda short and sometimes have to put the pedal on something to reach it comfortably. I like the silver rim around the fly wheel, gives it a little more splash than the plain black enamel.

Very nice machine. I too like a kneebar in preference to a foot pedal. Congratulations and enjoy.

I would leave it the way it is. I have a 15-91 that was wired like that. I thought, from looking at it, I could just swap out the knee control for a foot control since the one one the machine was fried. Not so fast - I needed a power cord and a foot controller! Yours is a beautiful machine and doesn't look abused at all; I'd leave it be. Your hubby did good. You will be able to find attachments on Ebay or even new reproduction short shank ones.

I also have a 15. My cabinet is not as nice as yours. My machine has 15- on the front under the emblem. What does that mean? Your machine is beautiful. I have sewed on mine once when I first got her and she did great but the plug going into the machine is cracked and needs replaced. Sandy

What a great machine and great hubby! I have a 101 in a cabinet that has that type of knee bar. I want to take out the 101 and put my 15-91 in the cabinet, but cant't figure out how to do it unless I cut the wires to the 101! You are so fortunate to have a 15-91 all "wired up" and ready to sew. Good luck - hubby did good!

Congrats on a very nice 15-91. Your DH did well. I like the knee controls on my 201 and 101 as I don't have to chase the foot controller around.

I have one just like it. I like your cabinet better than the one I have. It makes the best stitch of any of my machines.
