I have that machine. Used it for a couple years and then bought the SQ-9000. The 9000 has the stop go button which I just love. I know people knock the Brother machines from WM but I have never had a problem. I love Brothers. So user friendly. 6 months ago I bought the 1500 for FM and piecing. I think you will be very happy with it. Congratulations!

I wont buy a machine without a top loading bobbin, its a must. Take that back I bought a Baby Lock Jane with the under bobbin and I do not like the machine at all. It is also hard to thread with way to many steps. It came with my long arm table and I could not afford a long arm machine so got stuck with this 9 in throat machine.
Love Brother machines and have a couple of them.
