I try to think of a name for my quilt. I know this sounds funny, but if you say name it , winters pineapple (because of the blue color)... Then many images come to mind for the motifs... right? Snowflakes, blowing wind .. mittens ect.
Name the quilt and try it ... that works for me.

It's beautiful! I like Red's idea of the snowflakes, maybe in the big white squares, then maybe some echo round the pineapples?

I was searching for quilting motifs just last night and came across this site that has some interesting patterns, you might get some inspiration here :D

I like the idea of using curves you could start in the centre of the pineapple and work out like a rose, a petal for each corner, then make a feature of the big white blocks

i like the feathered square for the pineapple and then for the 4 white triangles that come together to form a square i would do a clam shell on each triangle.
