I think it's perfect! Goes with the theme of the front, and is a beautiful print. Who cares about busy? It's all by itself on the back! Busy is good... who wants boring?

The fact that it's on the back, and won't show, I think you could use just about anything you wanted to, but to me they are two such totally different looks that i'm not sure I would choose that backing as my first choice.

busy if you place them side by side. Good together , because the theme goes good.
It is a backing, It is a fabric you like.
I agree with a binding in solid. maybe black or red.

I like it! I don't know where you live, but Southwest is always good in my opinion! And the colors are refreshing -- they go nicely with the top.

Love it. As someone said, check to make sure there's no 'see thru' to the front and go for it. The colors go perfectly with the front and it would make a great contrast backing.

I was thinking like Tartan. The printed colors would probably show through to the front. If it were mine I would go with a white backing, or whatever the neutral color is in the rings. Can't go wrong with that. And I think the print would be great for a one block wonder.

The colors are perfect. The design is unexpected which makes it more desireable for me. If the colors show through the batting, I would use a different batting before I gave up that backing. I love it!

I like a busy back, but I'm not sure on that back for that quilt, you have to go with how you feel. I recently ordered 9 and 1/2 yrds for a back and was disappointed with what I got, so I know how you feel, don't think I'm using mine.
