I just purchased one from Amazon. I makes fairly small circles, so far, my best results are with zigzag stitch. Kind of cool, you drop the feed dogs and the tool rotates the fabric sandwich backwards. First time I used it, I stopped and reread the direction sheet to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong.

I'm going to use it to quilt and decorate mug rugs and coasters. I think you could make some very interesting applique items as well. It wasn't quite what I thought when I bought it, but it's still better than a thumbtack and cork!

I saw one being used on a brother machine. It looked fascinating but I couldn't think what I would use it for. It felt expensive to me as well

I've got one. There is also an instruction book to go with it by Dale Rollerston, It sews like a circular attachment and the design is determined by the size of the embroidery and circle. I tried to use it on my Pfaff machine but it would only sew backwards in a straight stitch.
P.S. At the time I wanted to buy it, Nancy Zieman had it on her site for $8.50. However, postage was to be $20 to get here and it sells for $29 in Australia, so I bought it here.

I was going to buy one until someone here told me to just tape a thumb tack down on the machine's bed. Then you put on your fabric and you can stick an eraser on to the thumb tack to hold it in place if necessary. You can make any size circle you want - for the cost of a thumb tack..

This link shows just a straight stitch but you can do it with any stitch on your machine...

Yes!! I have one. Came with my Bernina but I never paid any attention to it. I'll have to read the instructions and see what that little bad boy can do!!

Hi Coffeebreak-I have the attachment and have used it! It's, indeed, very easy to use. As skttl1321 says, just watch a video and you will be on your way. I have an embroidery machine, yet I find it easier (no need to hoop) and cheaper (much less stabilizer) for a simple design. I also embellish them with rhinostones in the center, metallic and variegated threads and different stitches and sizes. Start using it and you will fall in love, especially if you have daughters or gds. Make yourself a sampler, that way you can go back to the ones you liked best.

I have both the flower and the circle for my older viking....now I have a newer babylock, but I will not be buying the circle for it,.....probably too expensive, have not really looked into prices. I think that flower attachment might fit on this newer bl...will have to see...when I did use them on my viking they were a fun way to play...........forgot I had them, thanks for the reminder!!!!!!

Neat little foot, thinking fabric designs for small items like purses, baby clothes, etc. Might be handy for curtains, shower curtains too. Great video on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PI9E8JBUj_0

I have the Brother circle sewing attachment for larger circles, but that was $99 4 years ago and this little foot pops on and off fairly easy from the looks of it.

    Thanks for sharing.
