As much as you didn't like doing it I think your quilting is perfect for the pattern! And it took me a few looks to notice that, if I'm not mistaken that you quilted around each turtle! Really beautiful!

Lovely quilting, and SID was just right for it. I never iron my backing. I load it on the longarm, tighten up the first section and spritz with water, just a little. You can just see the wrinkles disappearing. When that section is dry (or almost dry) roll to the next section and repeat. You might not want to take the time to do that with a customer's quilt, but it sure beats ironing.
