    You are probably aways going to have problems when you add a lot of borders/strips. I would surround the panel with blocks instead. Your computer picture should solve the problem.

    I just finished a quilt using picture "blocks" of fabric. This was purchased from a quilt shop, and guess what? The picture wasn't set squared up on the fabric. So I ended up framing it with a darker fabric to make the blocks square.

    Your new design should go together ***much*** more easily! Rail fence blocks are very forgiving, plus you can make sure each block is square and the correct size before sewing. Love that camo fabric with the wolf panel!
