Bought my Gammill used. No castors-it's so heavy we never attempted to move it. Retrofitted it with locking castors. Don't use them often, but when it needs to be moved, it can easily be moved. To add the castors, we used a car jack under the crossbar on the end of the frame. Now I want hydrolics to adjust the height for my very short friends (I'm 69").

I put systems (robotic) weighing 2500 lbs on casters. Not a big deal. But... I would use feet on my frame that take the weigh off the wheels. You move these feet up and down using a wrench. Gives a solid non-movable platform. Takes the weight off the casters and keeps the frame from moving as you move the machine around. Allows you to level it perfectly.

I have the 'plastic' sliding disks under mine and it works great. It's easy to move but doesn't impact the table when I'm quilting.
