    Anael ... Metric FQ ... 1/2 a metre would be 19.5" and the fabric width would be 43". Most here cut it at 20" for ease of measurement.

    I sure notice it when a store "cheats" us with an American FQ ... seems SO small!
    And yet they charge the same price as the rest who are giving a Canadian FQ!!!!

    I grew up in metric system and my whole world got turned upside down when I moved to Canada and then to the USA. But after a few years, I conquered the unknown and now I can function in both systems. BUT when I go to Canada I get such a sticker shock when I see the prices. So, yes, meter is slightly longer than a yard, but a hell more expensive.
