What a wonderful fairytale engagement. I felt like I was on the journey too. I got mine in our living room and he actually got down on one knee! At 63 truly an accomplishment. I have never felt so loved. Our big day is October 21, 2013! Truly an exciting journey that I get the man I always wished for.

OMG! I am putting my request in right now. I want this kind of a proposal in my next life from the guy who is the main character in the "Gray" novels. I can wish and hope can't I? Thanks for a great bit of fantasy. I hope the couple enjoy years of joy, love and happiness. When should I have the wedding quilt done?

My DH and I met in Feb. 1976. In April, he said, " Ya want ta get hitched?" I said, "yes". In June, of 1976 we got "hitched". Getting ready to celebrate 37 years together on the 19th of June. That's also the date of our son's birthday. He was our 4th anniversary present. haha

a girl in our local paper etiquette column was disturbed (by her friends) that her proposal and his family heirloom ring weren't "good enough". So she wanted to give the ring back and have a new proposal. The Manners people advised the groom to be to take back the ring, and find a girl who would appreciate it. Why would any girl be so influenced by her friends?
