if you got your money back, why not buy a new one? Maybe have the half pieces cut down to a usable size. Well anyway, that's what I would do.

If you use packing tape make sure someone holds it tight for you. Tape both sides. Or take your money and just add to it for another one.

Broken 15 inch square...I fitted the 2 pieces together perfectly with the wrong side up. I used a long piece of clear tape to connect the 2 pieces. I brought the square with it's new hinge to my table. I laid it right side up (I used the table edge to hinge open the crack))and ran a bead of Super Glue down the crack. I immediately put the whole ruler back up on the table and held it tight together ( making sure the cutting edges were perfect) for a few minutes. I weighted it and let it dry overnight. My 15 inch square is still going strong more than a year later.

Why make your life more difficult. Buy another ruler with the money she gave back to you.

If possible, I would just cut it down to a smaller rule and buy a replacement if she has refunded your money. Gluing is not always successful - giving you a bump or weak spot on the rule. A similar thing happened to me with a circular template. The business was fair to me and discounted the money from my next purchase. I negotiated this as they were quite prepared to refund. I would go with a new purchase if I were you. All the best.

I would just smooth our the cracked edge and use them as smaller rullers . . . depending on where they cracked.

One of my rulers broke and my GH glued it back together with something like Super Glue and you can't even tell where it broke. He said the secret was getting it together correctly and then holding it tight. Good luck!
