    The lines of the treadle irons so very elegant. You find the most interesting sewing machines.

    Unfortunately, it has not arrived yet, so I don't have an underside pic yet.... But is does have a shuttle and bobbin.

    The difference with this unit is most of G&B's were chainstitch machines. they did a special G&B stitch. This does too but it is a lockstitch.

    I would LOVE to find one with a transverse drive wheel. someday....

    oh, and I did get a rough date as 1875.

    This company was the last of the major members of the "combine" for me to collect. I have one of each of the others. There are some smaller makers but those are even more scarce than G&B's

    It arrived today!!!!

    I SO want to go home at lunch and unpack it... But I know that if I do, I will not make it back to the office today...

    The design on this machine is unbelievable. Just beautiful. It's lines are soft and flow so well on the base. I love the last picture.
