If it is the border could you take it off and try all these ideas just in case you affect the rest. Good luck.

Good luck. I know the feeling. I have had things like that happen. I did a cute cross stitch onetime and the marking seemed to be set in. Finally got it out.

It just gives you a sick feeling when something like that happens. Sounds like you have a good fix here. Crossing my fingers for you.

Fingers crossed for you! I've done things like that too and it does just make you sick. Hoping it all comes out. Let us know.

I previously used the washable markers on a quilt and even steam ironed (accidentally) one area. I was scared to pieces that it wouldn't wash out. I finished the quilt, put on the binding, then threw it in the washer with warm water and detergent. I was so surprised, but it washed out entirely in one washing! I am hooked on the markers for anything that will get washed before use.

A product called Sew Clean (available online and some quilt stores) have worked wonders for me. Worth a try if nothing else works.

Keep us posted on the wash results. I use those markers often and love them. The only issue I have with them is you have to wash or soak the quilt to get the markings off, just squirting it with water makes the markers run but they do wash out wonderfully

    Good luck.

Try CARBONA stain devil...they have one especially for ink and crayon removal. I haven't used it on Crayon yet but it has taken pen ink out of white pants and other colors many times. Would be best to try it on a test piece first. CARBONA is usually available at WalMart or JoAnn's.

I like Dawn dishwashing liquid for spots so I wonder if that would be good for the crayon marking. I assume it's a "greasy" substance??? Dawn rescues those birds who end up in oil spills anyhow.

When I washed mine marked with the crayola markers I just let it soak for 20 minutes then washed as normal it all came out.
