Good suggestion. Might we create another thread for each of the subjects that are mentioned to get them into one place. And then, just deal with that subject and not branch off into others which may or may not be related.

    What do you think?

I'd love to be able to FMQ a quilt. I've practiced and don't do too bad on sandwiches, but I'm scared to death to try it on an actual quilt.

I do let the glue dry overnight before I quilt. Some here on the board say that they use the heat from an iron to dry it quickly...I have not tried that yet

I press with my iron to dry the glue. I can start quilting sooner that way.

I would like to learn how to quilt small projects on my machine, not just a meandering or std. Would never even try a large quilt, but the smalls yes.

I've just taken the plunge with applique, but I broke my machine and have to wait for parts. I want to learn how to clean and repair my vintage machines myself so I don't have to wait for my hubby!

Somehow I doubt that your quilts are anything but the finest they could be; just from your posts you sound like someone who does her very best every time. Unicorns are highly over rated anyway.

I think you have a great idea. I'm trying very hard to FMQ so that it looks as beautiful as it does in my instruction book. I'd love any suggestions or ideas and would gladly share what I've learned so far.
